Juicy Inspiration

Posted on Sep 3rd, 2008 by JuicyGoosey : Raw Artist JuicyGoosey

Today My Friends, I thought I would share a little Juicy Inspiration that found me when I most needed it this week.  It definitely helped me stay on track and motivated to take care of myself, mind, body, and spirit.  Enjoy! : )

"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination are omnipotent. The slogan "press on" has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race." -- Calvin Coolidge

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.  Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure....

It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.  We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous?  Actually, who are you not to be?...

Your playing small doesn't serve the world.  There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you...

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.  As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

--- Nelson Mandela

I just love inspiring quotes!  Please send me some of yours I'd love to hear!!

Animals Love it When you Meditate!

Posted on Sep 10th, 2008 by JuicyGoosey : Raw Artist JuicyGoosey
Hey Juicy Readers!  So I have a great story for you that I've been meaning to share for a while.

Recently, I have been doing this great new mediation called Blisscipline A.M.  I absolutely love it. But I had been noticing that every time I start the meditation practice, my cats go bizzurk for my attention.  When I brought this up to my Blisscipline leader, she said that animals LOVE this meditation and told me a story about the time her friend was outside in the country practicing when all of a sudden he looked up and saw a deer!

So apparently mediation isn't just good for stress relief and mental health but also animals love it : )

Well, this happened several months ago and I had forgotten all about this conversation.  A few days ago I was visiting my parents in the suburbs and I decided to do the Blisscipline practice outdoors because it was a beautiful evening.  In the middle of the practice I open my eyes and see a HUGE GINORMOUS Possum running towards me with no fear. It was just a few steps from my feet when I saw it, freaked out and screamed.  That poor possum looked like I had snuck up on him and scampered away.  I think in the end the Possum was more scared then me.  Now why couldn't it have been a deer? Why'd it have to be a monster size creepy Possum : /

After that, you think I would have gone indoors and continued in the safety of the house. But no, I stayed outside and this time a much nicer visitor, my parent's cat came on over to me.   Thankfully no more Possums. However, the next day I had six new mosquito bites and so now I'm wondering if the mediation practice attracts the insects as well? Come to think of it, I just remembered how recently I woke up after meditating to find a dozen flies in my apartment and I had no idea how they even got in! I'm feeling like snow white ; )  LOL the funniest response was when my friend called me the meditating Doctor Doolittle ; )

Does anyone else have any amazing mediation stories?  I'd love to hear!!!

This week my birthday is coming up and amazing enough opportunities for a free Hellerwork & Accupuncture session fell into my lap! Happy Birthday to me! YEY!!!

I'm so excited for these new adventures and can't wait to share!!!!

Until soon!
